Pregio was the first van designed and built entirely in Korea, combining passenger car comfort with multi-purpose functionality. It played a key role in shaping Kia’s practical brand image. As industry trends shifted, multi-purpose vehicles eventually evolved into premium minivans and three-row SUVs.

With a distinctive horizontal headlamp design integrated into the front grille, Pregio was widely exported across Asia, Latin America, Europe, and beyond. In Latin America, in particular, it became a commonly used public transportation vehicle.
