Credos was Kia’s third model developed in-house, following Sephia and Sportage. Known for its precise handling, smooth ride, and spacious interior, it earned positive reviews globally. Developed during a time of uncertainty and merger talks, Credos reflected Kia’s firm commitment and bold investment in advancing its own technology.

Credos was powered by Kia’s in-house developed T8D DOHC engine, designed entirely from scratch. At a time when DOHC engines were still rare globally, this achievement marked a significant leap for Korea’s automotive engineering capabilities.
