Multi-purpose Truck Built for Farmers

Ceres was a 1-ton truck developed to meet the needs of Korean farmers. It featured a power take-off system designed based on field research in agricultural communities, making it capable of powering farm equipment like water pumps and threshers. Priced at roughly 30% less than Bongo in the same category, Ceres helped boost the rural economy and embodied Kia’s commitment to building vehicles that met the true needs of the time.

Ceres

Developed in-house by Kia, Ceres also played a key role in the company’s early commercial vehicle exports, with shipments to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa.
