Korea’s First 4-ton Truck

Released alongside Titan, Boxer was Kia’s first four-wheeled truck and the first 4-ton truck ever produced in Korea. Powered by Kia’s self-developed engine, it marked a key milestone in the company’s pursuit of technological independence. Throughout the 1980s, Boxer served as a core model in Korea’s midsize truck market and laid the foundation for Kia’s expansion into the global commercial vehicle market.
